Basics of electrical measurements
Keithley Instruments will broadcast a free, web-based seminar titled “Understanding the Basics of Electrical Measurements” on Thursday, July 8, 2010. Designed for scientists and engineers with little experience of performing electrical measurements, this one-hour seminar aims to equip them with a fundamental level of measurement expertise.
Seminar participants will get a clear overview of the many applications which require measurements such as current, voltage, resistivity, temperature, etc.
They will also receive guidelines on how to choose test equipment, how to design a test system, how to identify and reduce sources of error in the system, or how to carry out measurements using existing equipment.
The one-hour seminar is accompanied by an interactive Q&A (during live broadcast) where participants can ask the presenter for additional insight on this important topic.
“Understanding the Basics of Electrical Measurements” will be presented by Derek MacLachlan, a staff applications engineer at Keithley Instruments, Inc. Derek, who is based in the United Kingdom, joined Keithley in 2000 and has spent the past nearly ten years serving customers in the Test and Measurement industry.
The event is free to the public, but participants must register in advance at http://www.keithley.info/basics10.
